at the end of the day, we all want to be on some nineties d'angelo vibes right? i have a feeling that d'angelo could have been one of the best rappers out at the time... but he was just singing... and make everyyyyybodyyyyyy sing right with him regardless of who was around. if you're not singing brown sugar when that track comes on i don't know if we can even be friends... this is an ode to the tracks that have rap feels but are just a shade more mellow... you know... some erykah badu raphael saadiq type vibes...
