May gray…. June gloom… July 4th though? Summetime is here y’all! And from July through September I’m trying to be on those summer positive vibes. I’m trying to convince one of my homies to throw a backyard boogie BBQ but this year is different as we shouldn’t be kickin’ it in large groups. But that doesn’t mean we can’t still rage nahmean?!

My buddy Kev and I are both married to Hispanic women and Kev wanted me to make a playlist that showed love to hispanic culture. He wanted the playlist to be called “La Raza” but I went with “Lowrider Magazine Cali Summer Vibes” because that’s what I feel with the collection embodies. I’m going back to the 60’s with this one but also have 80’s Freestyle cuts and 90’s Chicano rap… Lots of R&B… Lots of west coast funk bounce. Bangers all around. The type of music that you bump in the whip with your windows rolled down while you give a head nod and smile to those you see.
